Alliance Judy Ivie Burton Technology Academy High School (formerly Alliance Heritage College-Ready Academy High School) is a free public charter school authorized by the Los Angeles Unified School District.
In 2010, Burton Technology Academy adopted the Blended Learning for Alliance School Transformation (BLAST) program which provides each student with a laptop and uses a wide variety of technological tools to prepare them for success in college and future careers. Principal Profile
Davida Fountain comes to the Alliance with more than 15 years of education experience. Prior to joining the Alliance team Ms. Fountain served as an educator and administrator at charter schools in Compton and South Los Angeles. In 2008, Ms. Fountain became the Assistant Principal at Alliance Judy Ivie Burton Technology Academy High School and was part of the leadership team that led the blended learning pilot at the school. In 2011 she took over as Principal at Burton Technology Academy. Ms. Fountain earned a bachelor of arts in Education from Loyola Marymount University where she coordinated the Academic Persistence Program. She also holds a master's degree in Education Leadership from California State University, Sacramento.
