Principal Profile

Prior to taking over as Principal at Alliance Marc & Eva Stern Math and Science High School, Kirsten Woo served as the school's founding Assistant Principal and worked in the Alliance home office as the Director of Assessment and Data Analysis. In that role, she used her knowledge of school accountability, high stakes testing, student demographics, and instructional support to allow each school to further drive curricular and instructional decisions. Ms. Woo began her educational career as a secondary English teacher and served as a department chair, WASC focus group leader, and secretary of the school site council. She holds a bachelor's in English and Asian American Studies from University of California, Irvine, and a master's in Education from Claremont Graduate University.
